Wii Fit Day 63

I’ve been busy and confused lately that I’ve been putting my days all wrong. The Wii Fit says that it’s already Day 63.

Spent 23 minutes doing aerobics. Did a warm up of basic hula hoop followed by an Island Lap run. Proceeded to do basic dance (I know it’s stupid but it’s the exercise that counts) before ending with the advanced hula-hoop 3 minutes. Did some balance games since the game thinks I need to practice control over my balance before calling it a day.

Hopefully tomorrow I’ll be able to do yoga and strength exercises.

Wii Fit Day 60

Two months I’ve had the Wii Fit but I’ve only been on it for around 35 days. That’s a bad ratio. I’m still on the one training session per day. I don’t want to overdo myself just yet.

30 minutes of strength training with a few aerobic warm ups and cool downs. It’s no joke that the strength training is really hard. It requires a lot of mental discipline not to give up.

Tomorrow I’ll probably just do some running.

Will the San Diego Comic Con replace E3?

E3 and the San Diego Comic Convention were only weeks apart from each other and it seemed that other than Netflix and Final Fantasy 13 moving over to the Xbox 360, the SDCC generated more news than E3.

For the uninformed, the San Diego Comic con is the largest comic book convention in the world. It is where Marvel, DC and dozens of other publishers and related industries show their wares and for fans to meet the writers and artists behind the comic books.

With the surge in comic book related success like that of Iron Man and Batman, not to mention Superman and Spider-man and with an ever growing manga (that’s Japanese comics) fan base it should come as no surprise that movie studios, video game publishers and toy manufacturers are now almost a permanent fixture at the SDCC.

Since E3 has turned into an industry only event, many have said that it now a shadow of it’s former self. It’s not the same with the fanboys cheering on the side for their favorite game or console. This is a huge difference between the “welcome fans!” banner of the SDCC.

I’ve only attended a comic con once which was the Wondercon, the 3rd comic con in the US and I must say that it was a lot of fun. I heard the SDCC is a whole lot better.

More news was coming out of San Diego more than Los Angeles during E3. Fans had a chance to see first hand what DC online looks like on the PS3 and hear Jim Lee talk about it as well.

Is E3 doomed to suffer the same fate as Comdex?

Been too busy

Missed posting Wii Fit Day 56 and Wii Fit Test 5 and Day 60.
Day 56 was mostly yoga since I was too stressed to do anything else and really needed to relax. Wii Fit Test 5 was disastrous. I’m too ashamed of the scores that I will not post screen shots of the results. Day 60 was also mostly yoga.

I may up my Wii Fit training by doing 30 minutes in the morning and in the evening. Strength and aerobics in the morning and yoga in the evening. That is of course if I wake up that early. Maybe it’s just all because of my lifestyle. I really need to change things.

Wii Fit Day 55

Did 30 minutes of aerobic exercises today. A variety of jogging, step boxing, dance and hula hoop. I’m getting the hang of the step boxing and did some slalom skiing and ski jumps to warm down.

That reminds me, I need to play a little more of my We Ski.

Asia is going to be rickrolled!

I’m not kidding and I’m not linking to a rickroll. www.rickastley.co.uk

According to Rick Astley’s website, he is coming to Manila, Jakarta and Indonesia next week. At first I thought it was a joke. Until I saw the poster. OMG.

I wonder if I can get a picture of something from him. Hmmm…

Wii Fit Day 54

Spent today doing yoga and strength training. Since it’s been a while I did the strength stuff, I dropped back to basic tier of the regimen. I did around 45 minutes total.

My Wii Balance board changed color in game. From the usual white, it turned to bronze after it had calculated I already spent 10 actual exercise hours on the board.

I wonder when the next achievement is?

Apparently it’s Wii Fit Day 53

According to my Wii balance board. I’ve had it for 53 days now. Today I went back on my Wii regimen and did aerobics.

I did the hula-hoop and no you will not see a video of me using the thing. It’s actually pretty challenging switching from a counter-clockwise rotation to a clockwise rotation.

Next up was the dance mode. I got bored with it after the basic round so I went to jog the whole island lap.

All in all I spent 29 minutes on the Wii. Tomorrow I will return to the regular yoga and strength training.

Sega says no to Shenmue 3 for now

Sega: No Plans For Shenmue III, Seaman 2

In an interview by Kotaku to Sega of America president Simon Jeffery, Sega is not yet ready to continue Yu Suzuki’s Shenmue series just yet.

Well at least he didn’t say no. This gives us fans of the series hope that this game may still see the light of day.

I have the games on both the Dreamcast and the Xbox and I was hoping that the rumor of chapter III appearing on the Wii could come true. I can always dream can’t I?

Wii Fit Day 48 Test 4

I’ve been gone from my Wii Fit for 35 days due to work and me flying in and out of the country and today I decided to get back on the balance board.

The tests weren’t that bad. In fact it seems I lost weight. It’s not much but at least it’s something.

My Wii Fit age has improved to 21!

I’m getting back on my Wii Fit regimen starting tomorrow hopefully until the end of the year. This is going to be a very interesting experiment.
