Will they sell it here?
When South Korea’s first astronaut flies off in April, he will have the comfort of eating his national dish of kimchi. It’s basically spicy pickled cabbage. But since it’s pickled, it’s teeming with bacteria which is a no no for space flights.
All space missions are in a germ free environment so they wont bring any organic items such as germs that might mutate and turn into something horrifying when they fly back to Earth.
So back to the kimchi. Apparently Korean scientists have found a way to make kimchi without bacteria. Hmm I wonder what that tastes like? Will they sell it here vacuum packed?
