Anime Festival 09
It was a very very tiring day and I have no time to blog other than uploading the pictures on an unstable connection. Will get to it when I get home. But first, Day 2 of the festival is today and the I Love Anisong concert.
Mentos Cola
Now relaxing in my hotel for the Anime Festival tomorrow. I picked
these up at the convenience store downstairs. They taste like the fizz
on top the soda and very addicting, They don’t have these in Manila.
I’m thinking of bringing home a few.
Shabu shabu night
Mind the fish heads and the octopus. It was a great dinner cooked in
winter melon soup with dried scallops. I really need to work out after
all of this.

The old sidewalks of Macau are covered in these black and white
granite tiles. It’s quite fascinating to look at but what heppens when
it rains? Doesn’t it get all slippery and you fall down? Especially on
the downward slope of the hills?

We took a taxi from the hotel to one of the major landmarks of the
city which is the ruins of St. Paul’s Cathedral. According to
Wikipedia, the Jesuit cathedral was built in 1582 and was then the
largest Catholic church in Asia. It was destroyed by a fire and
typhoon in 1835. All that remains is the facade.
I didn’t take this picture during this trip but last year. Not much
has changed since then.

Not too far from the Ruins of St. Paul’s Cathedral is this LED
billboard.

Going home

Ah yes. It’s been a glorious 3 days of vacation in Macau but all good
things must come to an end. I will be mass posting as much as I can
before I board that plane to go back to Manila. University classes
start on Tuesday so this vacation was well timed.
I’ll be away for a few days
I’m on a last minute trip out of the country to Macau. I’m not sure on
the internet situation there if it has improved (ie: free internet) as
I was unlucky the last time I was there. I’ll be flying in a bit but
I’ll post the pictures I take there as soon as I get a decent
connection.
I will be able to twitter so updates will be posted through there.
