What happens if you trade a stack of Imperial Bronze Pieces to your moogle?

Apparently 99 Imperial Bronze pieces will make your locker valid until April 18, 2010. Or 99 weeks since one bronze piece will give you a week on your locker. Well it sure beats the whole thing expiring at you.

That lady at the mall gave me a bad idea

4th Edition Core Rulebook Gift Set

I went to a nearby hobby shop with a friend who was buying card sleeves for his Eye of Judgement cards when I couldn’t resist asking the question.

“Is the 4th edition out yet?”

Thankfully she replied that it was still on pre-order. But then added that they had a special package to those who would pre-order.

The agony! I had given up traditional RPGs since I got my PSone and now this! I started my nerdy/ geek run on this franchise every since I heard about it in grade school. My dad got me the basic set for my 10th birthday and I learned how to read novels through the series. I even loved the other incarnations by TSR such as Gamma World, Star Frontiers, Al-Qadim and of course, Dragonlance.

But the sad part is, no one who I used to play this with is around anymore. They all moved on or just like me went into other hobbies such as videogames or even MMORPGs.

But I wonder, is there a way to play this over the net? There must be a way. With all the current technology of Skype, iChat, AIM, Facebook and such, there must be a kind group out there who might want to start from scratch?

And that is why that lady at the mall gave me a bad idea. Which may be the reason why, this week, I’ll be going back there and pre-ordering the 4th edition.

Am I the only gamer not playing GTA 4?

I checked my Xbox live friends’ list and it turns out that I’m the only one NOT playing GTA4. It could be that my friends could also be playing on their PS3s but I think that I am one of the very few who don’t own one.

GTA4 could actually be described as a realistic RPG. Sims for Adults. The graphics and the behaviors are the best in any series in any console and it is absolutely ground breaking. I may just actually buy it just to be able to drive around the city and listen to the radio in the game. The environments created just suck you into the world of crime and anarchy. When you get drunk in the game, it shows. Your character will fall down if he tries to walk too fast and even the point of view is distorted. Driving a car through Liberty City is like driving through the streets of New York. The biggest turn off I got off the previous GTA games was that the car driving was just a chore to get around and driving was so detached. It was like driving a r/c that was out of control. That apparently has changed in this version.

Let’s wait and see what happens over the next few weeks.
