Happy New Year!

Another year has passed and I can say that I blogged more last year than the year before that. For me that’s an achievement. This year I’ll try to put up more content and upload more. So to wish everyone a Happy New Year, I’m posting my gaming pictures from Animal Crossing: City Folk.

Happy New Year!

Hadron Collider moment

In honor of the CERN’s Large Hadron Collider, I hearby bestow upon the world the term “Hadron Collider moment”. This refers to events or moments that under normal circumstances shouldn’t happen but they did but they should’ve happened after the Hadron Collider was switched on which makes this September 10, 2008. This is what I call these moments to infer that the Hadron Collider has already turned our world upsidedown. We just haven’t noticed it yet.

Some examples include,

  • Sebastian Vettel’s F1 win at Monza.
  • The Wall Street Meltdown
  • The Xbox 360 outsells the PS3 in Japan
  • Jack Thompson disbarred

just to name a few.

If you know any more, do share.

World’s First Double Arm Transplant: Man Gets Arms from Teen

Surgeons have performed the world’s first double arm transplant. The 16-hour operation was carried out last Friday on a farm worker who lost both arms in an accident. The 54-year-old man was given the arms of a teenage boy who is believed to have died in a road crash. This is amazing! Wow. I really do hope he’s doing fine. With that in mind, I would to apologize in advance for what I will write in the next few sentences.LIQUID! SNAKE! I live on through this arm!Well then, this proves that not everything in MGS2 is make believe.

Asia is going to be rickrolled!

I’m not kidding and I’m not linking to a rickroll. www.rickastley.co.uk

According to Rick Astley’s website, he is coming to Manila, Jakarta and Indonesia next week. At first I thought it was a joke. Until I saw the poster. OMG.

I wonder if I can get a picture of something from him. Hmmm…

Dozing off this weekend

Finally I’ve gotten some “me” time and totally ignored almost everything that is happening in the world. Seriously, I have no idea what’s going out there aside from iPhone activation problems.

Finally updated my iPod Touch to 2.0 and installed the apps. Haven’t bought one yet though. My favorite one so far is the Remote app and Twitterrific. The remote app is great! Now I have to place speakers throughout the entire house and wire them to the Airport Express so I can hear and control music from anywhere in the house.

I’ve been 1 month away from my Wii Fit which is why there hasn’t been any updates on that part. I will need to get back on it. Probably by tomorrow. I don’t expect to working 12-16 hour shifts next week. Actuallly I need a vacation after all of that. Even if it’s just one day.

I still have to get started on my D&D 4th edition and pass by the comic book store as well to pickup some new Secret Invasion issues. I’ve got around 5 manga books that need to be read and don’t get me started on my gaming backlog. I actually needed another Xbox than a PS3, but due to unfortunate circumstances, I have another PS3 while I send the other one for repairs. Yes I got the dreaded blu-ray death.

Other than that, I’m just relaxing like steamed vegetables.

Lego Wall-E

Were you thinking of building your own Wall-E out of LEGO? Pfft. I mean, no, go ahead. Just don’t ever put it next to this model by Angus MacLane who actually helped animate the film. Now this is just awesome! Just when I was looking for something interesting today on the net and I’ve found it in the form of Lego Wall-E. Now all I need to do is get the instructions and have this one on my desk.I mean it. I’m very impressed.

There is intelligent life after all

BBC NEWS | Europe | Vatican says aliens could exist

The Pope’s astronomer’s article in the Vatican Newspaper headlined “Aliens Are My Brother” does not rule out the fact that God also created aliens amongst the stars.

Wow, this coming from the same church that lambasted science for hundreds of years. Anyway, if NASA finds any intelligent life out there, it should be reassuring that Catholics believe that they are children of God too.

Unfortunately the ones holding the trigger when aliens land don’t exactly go to church.

Danica Patrick Wins!

Finally Danica Patrick wins a race! We waited for Sarah Fisher to win. Danica led the Indy 500 and everyone just waited for the first win to happen. Two years later and she wins in Japan.

Congratulations Danica!
